Picking.

Okay, so I don't know if any of you have ever watched that show "American Pickers" (its a goody) but that is essentially my house. Don't mistake this for distain, I absolutely LOVE it. Its so fun coming across some of the things in here. Our house was built in 1937 by Chandler's great-great grandpa. I love the character it has. Granted there are some things that need updated like our ugly floors but it has awesome bones, and central air. Thats a big one for me. Anyways, I was on a roll today and decided to put something that I found to good use and found this.

TADA! I found this awesome red vintage bike. 

Complete with a faux lambs wool cover. How classy is that?

I don't know about y'all but glass cleaner is more of an all purpose cleaner in our house- it made my new bike suuuper shiny. 

It was so hot after we were outside that Tucker and I had to sit in front of the air vent.

Also, got some new shorts today courtesy of Scheels. Love that place. 

All in all I would consider today a success. 

Life is better at the lake.

I totally believe this. I love going to the lake. Lake Powell is one of my favorite places in the world, although it wasn't Lake Powell Chandler's dad took us out on Utah Lake for our birthday's this week. We had so much fun, I really just love being on the water and it was a BEAUTIFUL night!

Update

Well, a lot has changed in two months. As you already saw we moved, (we're actually moving again) got a puppy and I started a new job. Clearly we've been busy. I'm back as a receptionist at a new place and I love my job. My office is full of great people that make working a joy. I love being inside again. I forgot how cold it could be outside, I also LOVE that I have Saturdays off, its amazing. My job is great and I am really enjoying it.

We also got a new puppy, he's a cocker spaniel and his name is Tucker. He's our baby. As I write this he's laying on the couch cuddling with me. He fills a void in my soul that I didn't know was missing, I know how cheesy that sounds but really, he's the best. Chandler got him for me for Christmas and he is the best present ever, and Chandler is the best husband ever for getting him for me.

Our last thing of big news is that we are moving back to Draper, while we have loved out house in Pleasant Grove, we are moving into Chandler's great grandmothers house to take care of it while she is in a rest home. Its a project house but its something I am really excited for. Its father away from my work but its much closer for Chandler, but its not far enough that its a deal breaker. I love the cute little house we're moving into, it's just got so much character. I'll post pictures of the house and the before's and afters of what I change. Its just going to be a lot of fun for Chandler and I to make our own memories and making a home. We're both just really excited its going to be great.

All in all things are great with us, we've got a month left in Pleasant Grove and in that time we have to move all Chandler's grandparents things to the basement of our new house, pack up all the stuff at the now house, paint the new house and move everything and then unpack. That is what I dread the absolute most. I HATE packing/ unpacking. Painting I can at least handle, I just have to find a color that I love, which is proving to be difficult. Wish me luck!

high five for friday!

1. we went to my cousins baby's blessing (kinda like a christening) and we got stuck in all these sheep on the way. i was just laughing and laughing.
2. it snowed today. love my life. i also love my amazing back yard.
3. we went to a wedding last night and apparently chandler can not put on a belt apparently. he missed the loop, in the front! in the back i can see, but the front, really.
4. we got internet today, but we're cheap and got our own modem so comcast couldn't charge us the rental fee, hubby was trying to set everything up. it was great.
5. we put this up day one in our new place. we wanted to establish early on what side we were on.

High 5 for Friday!

1. it was the Utah blackout game on saturday. i loved that it was cold enough that i got to wear my hunters. i also loved that Utah beat the hell out of Cal.
2. yes, i realize i have 2 pictures of hunter boots, i just can't decide which socks to buy next. i love them both.
3. yeah, i have a random guy on here, but there is a purpose, he looks EXACTLY like taco from the league. if you watch that show you know what i'm talking about, if you don't- go watch it on netfix. its amazing.
4. this is my father-in-law's halloween costume. bet you didn't know chandler had scottish roots.
5. last- but certainly not least- this is our new house! i love it so much. its amazing.

I really suck at blogging.

Alright, so I swear I think about writing on this thing more but I just forget. Not a lot new with us though, just working. We work opposite weekends so I feel like I hardly ever see Chandler. The only time we have the same days off are every other Sunday, other than that we're working every day. It sucks but welcome to my life. We decided to go up to Park City on Wednesday just to get a little bit of time to ourselves and I am so happy we did! We went to the Outlet Stores and they were having great sales! It was so awesome, I got 3 pair of dress pants and 2 new shirts, mostly I just loved that we got to spend some time together that wasn't staring at the TV trying to stay awake after work. The store finally opened and Chandler LOVES it. He comes home happy but exhausted every day. The people he works with are great too, we have so much fun with them. I feel like we haven't got to hang out with any of our friends since we got married. We got so old and boring as soon as we tied the knot that I'm embarrassed. So if any of my friends really do read this, call us so we can do something.
Lucky for me I'm off this weekend, so I'm going to spend it watching football, baseball and sitting on my butt. My parents are up in Park City at their time share so I might go up and see them because Chandler works and I'll be all sorts of bored without him. See, we're old boring people. Hopefully in the near future we'll be able to have a social life again. There are some things coming up in the future that might help with that :)
